Carmel Art Galleries – Not Looking For More Seascapes

Spent the day peeking around almost all the galleries in downtown Carmel. I had a hard time finding some pieces that stood out among all the boring seascapes. Don’t get me wrong- I love landscapes and seascapes as much as the next gurl but there is so much more cool art out there! It was disappointing how much these galleries all seemed to cater to the tourist buyer without an eye for the ground breakers. Posted here are three pieces I really liked. The portraits are by Clifford Bailey and are really outstanding pieces. The beautiful Venice scape is by Joseph Fuchs. The galleries were Edward Montgomery Fine Art and Pearl Canyon Gallery.
