James Jean and His Cute Little Art Book

While killing time in SF Moma’s bookstore (my lunch date was late), I found a great little accordian book by the artist James Jean. I love his art and the book, “Rift” is cleverly done. The book folds out to a pretty long dimension and can sit all pretty on your mantel. It has a composite of a number of his finished paintings in it and on the flip side it has the final rough sketches for them. Sweet! So if you’re in a rough, gray mood for James; display one side. Feeling more frisky and colorful, flip it over.
