Smoke Gets In Your Eyes

Smoke at Shooting Gallery

Christian Guémy, (also known as C215), is a Parisian street artist known for his intensely emotive stencil portraits. This is a great collection of gritty portraits of smokers, mostly on recycled elements at The Shooting Gallery. Interesting faces and characters, in expressive poses, well done rendering in mostly earth tones – really liked all the smokers in my face!

The other exhibit at White Walls (their companion gallery) left us dry and nonplussed. Titled “Something About Everything About Something”  by Mark Warren Jacques. Not a moving or interesting body of work for our tastes, should have been titled “Nothing About Nothing”…. wish the white walls had been filled with less pretentious and cold works.
