Linda Hope’s Floating Universe

Linda Hope has a show – Standing Blue, currently up at Chandler Fine Art. It reminded us of hot air balloons orbiting in a circus universe. We really liked the group of smaller pieces, the larger ones left us wanting a little more. The show is up thru March 30th.

 “In her recent paintings, we see spheres, balls, orbs and globes that appear to float in unknown landscapes. They are still but not anchored or tethered. The light sources are equally elusive and add to the uncertainty of the picture. They can be seen as almost “ghost-like” in a landscape that is not seemingly contemporary but could be either futuristic or ancient. “ -Via Chandler’s site
