Some Surrealism at Gallery 444

Walked by the windows of Gallery 444 on Post Street the other day and spotted some nice surreal paintings in the windows. Went in to get more pix to share but they wouldn’t let me take more photos, other than the ones I had already snapped- thru the front windows.

The art is a little derivative of Magritte but in a nice way-  most surrealism seems influenced by the forefathers, eh? The artists are William Johns (above), who is an Australian artist – (couldn’t find his personal website) and Rafal Olbinski, American (below). Both had really nice works, cleanly done with surreal & realist elements. Another painting which we really loved and captured a great feel (very bottom) we didn’t get the artist’s name, unfortunately.
